Just got this message back from Blackhawk regarding their CQC Serpa
series of holsters. There had been some discussion about them not
being legal for IDPA because you can still see some light in the belt
channel area. Hope this clears things up!

Tom,
Actually, IDPA has now ruled the CQC holsters legal for
their competitions. Here is a quote from Robert Ray at IDPA
Headquarters, in an e-mail to me on July 25th of this year:
After speaking with you yesterday I went into our archives and found
your holsters. I looked at the holster and as long as there have been
no real changes I feel that the CQC Serpa is completely legal for use
in IDPA depending on the person's body shape. The holster held the
gun close to my body but a very thin person may have problems with
the criteria that state that the gun must be within ¾ of an inch from
the body. The holster otherwise met all criteria for legal holsters.
I put the holster on and felt that it passed the criteria for no
daylight through the belt channel area. I hope that this information
helps to better inform your customers.
Hope this helps,
Chuck
