Thank you so much to everyone who made The Double I Cyclocross Experiment
a success again.
The last race of the series couldn't have had better weather and really, we
lucked out all season long with mother nature. Add a little Grub provided
by the good Dr. Giudici, and we had a fine day at races. The racing was
fast as usual and there were some really tight battles across the
categories. The Men's and Women's Open were the tightest battles for 1st and
2nd
that we've ever had and I'm sure were fun to watch.
This year had the best turnout in terms of numbers of riders that
we've ever had, averaging around 70 riders per event. We also had the largest
turnout of Women's and Beginner racers in the history of any series that
I've been a part of. The word about cross is spreading and it's all of you
that talk it up that are building the sport in Iowa. Now we just need to get
more Juniors involved.
Next season will see a larger series, nearly doubling the amount of
races. Should be a hoot.
Thanks again for helping us all grow the Sport.
The results are posted at dicecycling.com and healthyhabitsqc.com

Thank you to everyone who came to Bettendorf to race on Sunday. The
weather was great, the course was fun and the competition was seriously
intense.
We had the largest Women's fields we've ever had. There should be some
no holds barred racing at Middle Park for Series Podium spots, as some of
the Categories are really tight.
Saturdays results and Series Standings will be/are available shortly
at healthyhabitsqc.com and at dicecycling.com
See you Sunday at Middle Park.

From Molly Breedlove Wince:
This is not finalized quite yet and should not have been sent out in an e-mail.
The Breedlove Family is working with Walnut Creek YMCA who is co-ordinating
this event as a fundraiser for their Partners With Youth Program. When I called
the Bike World stores it was to let them know of our tentative date of the 13th.
I said nothing was final yet and the YMCA would have fliers to them by Friday of
this week with the complete details. We will be letting everyone know of the
finalized details with an invitation from the Walnut Creek YMCA and the
Breedlove Family. The Breedlove Family Des Moines, IA

The latest news is that we have added a few hundred yards to each lap on
brand new trail (thank you, volunteers!). The trail is so new, in fact,
that we don't have it mapped yet.
Also, we now have gift certificates from Scheels and Bike World for top
finishers in every event along with a healthy pile of swag from Kyle's
Bikes, Bike World and Barr Bike, too.
Online registration is open through Friday evening or you can register
on race day. See you Sunday!
