This is one way we can all shine with alternative transportation.
This year we are expecting over 2,000 cyclists to participate. The 1st 500
who register get a free pair of custom SockGuy socks and are eligible for
over $1000 in prizes. Registration is FREE.
Check out the Bike To Work Week site. http://www.bikeiowa.com/asp/bike/
Posters for the office are available for printing from the site or stop by
one of the participating bike shops.
Why should you register you ask???
In the past 5 years, the survey statistics have been put to good use by
proving there is a public demand for more bike racks, bike trails, bike
lanes. It helped get bike racks on DART buses, more trail connectors, helped
with signage and I helped persuade the City of Des Moines to adopt
Bicycle-Friendly Community goals, and the list goes on.
Watch the real-time stats (Top clubs, top employers, gas saved, etc.).
