Oliver Henke is OK, because he is in the UK visiting family.  Just by luck, he did not end up teaching foiling in Sri Lanka this month.  I don’t believe he has heard from any of his friends in Sri Lanka though, but I do believe that the ski school was in the path of the destructive waves.

Howdy,

I only have handful of 2005 calendars left.  Once they are gone I don't anticipate doing another print run.  If you would still like one please visit: www.silentlakes.com/beachpilots to get your order in.  I'll get it shipped right away.

Here is a sample:

June 2005

I haven't had any complaints, but, if you are not 100% satisfied you'll get a full refund.

Thanks and have a happy and safe new year!

Hi folks... Long time member first time poster! Anyone have any
recommendations where we can foil for a few hours a couple days in
FLA? It's a "have ski need boat deal"! This also can't break the bank
either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Yesterday I went to work out and found a DVD I was not familiar with, I
stuck it in and the music was awesome and so was the riding. I just
thought I would thank who ever put it together I really enjoyed it.

It was fun watching not only riders that are better than myself, but
also others at my level and a couple I was even better than.

Happy New Year

Went foiling today on Lake Austin with Al & Todd.

Paul Sheck, who lives in Westchester County NY, came thru Austin on his way
to Midland so his daughter Margo could take a ride with us. (She gets more
air than I can!)

Water temp today was 58, air temp low 70's.

We should be getting back in town on the 30th and were planning on
going out if the weather looks goods on Friday or Saturday.
Grapevine is always a good choice for us as it close, but we are
open to suggestions.

I'm out of town 31st through the 2nd. I will be in Austin, so Al, if you are doing any skiing and have an extra spot, let me know!

As I recall, it all started in Lonnie’s gator wrestling days in the late 50’s.  Lonnie lost 3 fingers and 11 toes due to gators breaking out of their shackles.

He worked along side two finger Bob to develop a strap that could easily be secured and did not have to be put on exact.  With the ability to partially secure the Hook and Loop on the first pass and then be able to fully secure it on the second, Lonnie only lost 1 more finger.

The rest is history…

Speaking of Cinch.  I was wondering what Lonnie's story is?

I used to kneeboard years ago and I got a Cinch strap for my board.  Let's see about 18 yrs ago.  If I remember this was the same time Tony K. was a top pro rider using a Cinch.  It still works great (not that I kneeboard anymore).  Time tested quality product, you can't go wrong.

So I guess I am wondering how Lonnie got into this whole thing in the first place?

My friend and I were out riding today, this was his second or third go on his brand new Sky Ski 2 piece billet. He was working on his gainers when catastrophe struck. Not sure how, but he securely wrapped some slack in the line around the foil. We've been using the Cinch release for a year or so but never had it release until today. The tower on the boat made a huge banging noise when it released, but both my friend and his foil survived and continued riding.

So a big cheers to Cinch Products!
