Need to ask a question on lake depth. With these new longer foils what
is the minimum depth some one should be foiling?

A few years ago I got the wings of my foul lodged in 2 feet of mud and
stuck at the bottom of the lake (only 6 feet deep), I thought my life
was over.

Same lake was 9 feet yesterday. I did ski but was nervous the whole time.

Kerry, I think 9' is just fine for LE38's. Just be sure that it doesn't get any more shallow than that. "Number 1 source for CINCH and Sky Ski Products" 'Stay...

8' should be good. I will do 6' with mud bottom and seaweed, but I only use ankle straps when doing that. I've got stuck in seaweed before, and the last thing...

9' for experienced skiers only. And that would be the minimum. With the longer foils, sitting in the water you are over 6' deep. One good crash & your stuck in...

Hitting bottom does suck and at this lake the bottom is two feet of mud and the wings lodged into the bottom of lake I panicked like my life was over. I...

That's one advantage to the snowboard bindings I use. As long as you can reach your feet you can get out in seconds. Of course if you can't reach your feet you...

Don't get me wrong about Cinch straps, I used them and liked them, however, were I ski I go from 27' to 8' with 4'-6' to top of seaweed, and I can't ski around...

I try to steer way clear of anything shallow. About a 10 foot minimum for me. I'm not only worried about hitting bottom with the foil, but also hitting...
