I ordered some from yesterday from AMS - can't wait! (the guy had
white or red...red??? lol)

Stayed with white

Decided to dismantle the thing and paint the frame and pipe too -
ought to look great by the weekend!

New tires and I'll be ready to race again!

I have a 75 WR "comma shaped" cleaner on it right now - Think I'll
take it off and save it as it's very light fiberglass and seems very
fragile

Am looking for a standard aircleaner cover.

Anybody got one for sale?

After scratchin' my head and thinkin' some I think I fixed the prob.

I'd like to blame it on Yahoo, but I think it was a bonehead change

if you have posted and don't see the message you sent, please repost.

Also, please let me know if you are having any difficutly so I can

Steve,

I tried straight 30w and the clutch would not hook up completely. After i flucshed all of the 30w out and re-filled it with straight 20w motor oil the clutch works sweet, and after riding the bike for a few hours i had to change the fork oil to 50w and now the bike runs and handles great.

Hey Steve,

Thats not a multigrade oil for the forks it's SAE 20, 30, 40 or 50w.
I run SAE 30w. I'm 5'10" and weigh anywhere from 195-205 lbs and I'm a pretty aggressive rider.

The Trans,
Oil capacity: 0.35 gallons (1.6 lit.)
Oil recommendation: Engine Oil SAE 20
Here in Denver CO. I could not find a bike shop that carried it, I ended up finding it at a Car Quest Auto parts store. I made the mistake of putting SAE 30w oil in the trans and i thought the clutch was slipping, I didn't think it would make that much of a difference but it does. I hope this saves you all the headaches that i got while learning the hard way. (IT SEEMS THATS HOW I LEARN EVERYTHING.....LMFAO!!!!!)

I'm selling my 1972 Husqvarna 450 WR. The bike is in pretty good
shape and would make a very nice vintage racer. I have had the bike
for about a year, but I do not have to many other projects I'm
working on, so something has to go. My e-mail is
bradleybanks@... if anyone is interested.

All

I just found this group from another message board and thought I'd
give it a try. I have a '98 TE410 that I bought new and am dual-
sporting it. Is there anyone else that has a newer Husky?

I'll post a few pictures later tonight in the Photos section.

Does anyone know where I can find a larger fuel tank other than from
Husqvarna? The local dealer wants $600 for the factory 4 gallon
tank!

Hi, I recently joined this list and I've been a long time Husky fan.
I don't have a vintage Husky yet but someday soon I will, after I do
a little more research and find the right bike for me. I can feel
the vintage/evo bug biting me hard. I do have a late model Husky
Supermoto bike and a little KX100 screamer that wants to be a Husky
when it grows up. I posted some pics of these bikes in the photo
section.

Regards
Peter

Watch moto 1, then moto 2, then Lackey's interview. If you watch
the motos, it seems the Husky has a lot more speed than the
CZ....Lackey seems to hint at that in his interview

Makes me want to get a 74 CR400 going!

Does anyone know what material Husky used back in the day?

I seem to remember reading they were heat treated, but am not
certain.

Anyone?
