What up yall. Registration for Potlatch just opened up and will be open through April 24. Here's the tourney Web site: http://potlatch.discnw.org/

I filled out the initial online registration, but we need to come up with a kick-ass bid presentation to win over the hearts of the Potlatch TDs. Ian had a brilliant idea: a big balloon — we're talking jumbo size, the kind that float over car dealerships — that we all write on. We mail them the deflated balloon along with a pump. They pump it up to read all our notes and whatnot, and let us into the tournament. Any ideas/suggestions/thoughts? 

Potlatch is still far off (July 3-5), but we're all gonna have to commit (time, effort and money) to make it work. Ian and I have already secured time off from work, and we're (tentatively) planning on driving, Wednesday to Wednesday. 

The bid is $950. Sounds outrageous, but it comes to about $60 per player. I'm gonna start collecting next week. 

Unlike last year, this will be a HumpFreeze tournament. Right now we've got 8 on the Potlatch roster: Rosi, Cricket, Kristine, Emily, Andy, Ian, Shakey, Jaffe. 

We should have another HF meeting soon. How's Wednesday? Someone want to break out the grill?
