Bagwell says his shoulder is better right now than at this point in any
of the past several offseasons. He understands the team's position, but
feels like Jan. 31 is an arbitrary date that doesn't matter. Of course
he can't play ball now, and there's a chance he can't play come the
season, but he says there's no way to know other than to go through
spring training to find out. It's a long interview, but a good one.

Interesting tidbit: Dr. Andrews had had a heart attack four days before
interviewing Bagwell, so didn't do as much of the examination as he
normally would.
