I am Looking for Someone to take over a Kung Fu School

The expenses are:

1000 a year -- liability insurance (they can go AAU
which is alot cheaper)

100.00 a year -- domain name/website/email
(www.templeexercise.org)

20.00 a night (2 nights a week -- so 160 - 200 per
month)

we charge only ... 35.00 per month... there is
presently 7-9 paying students.

Revenue of :

245-315 per month of which I pay 15% back to
TempleKungFu for advertising
(Can break from main branch and eliminate percentage).

I kept things cheap to promote kung fu instead of make
money. I think one could probably charge up to 50-75
per student as a business opportunity.

What is taught, is 5 animal style kung fu. I actually
have videos (self created) and can take someone
through the various theories and techniques if they
are interested in acquiring the art. I have a black
belt in Universal Kempo under Martin Buell and was
formerly known as Federico Pablo "Pablo" back in 1988.
Since then, I've taken Tai Chi (Pang / Bilal Al'amin)
- touched, Ba Gua (Xiu Zhang) - touched, Temple Kung
Fu (Jones)- mid level, and have been influenced by
books, videos, Tang Soo Doo with Ron Pohnel and
Honolulu Sparring Club - touched.

A perspective instructor would probably attend a few
classes and see how things are taught... and get a
feel of the clientele so that there will be no
surprises and better retention.

I have already asked some instructor level students on
their interest to take over, it wasn't in their
immediate goals.

I've mentioned to a few Kempo brothers but haven't
spoken directly with Professor Buell.

It is difficult, because each school has it's own way
and though my foundation is Kempo, the way that I
teach and primary principles that are thought are
much different. (www.templeexercise.org)

I live across the street from Grandmaster Louis, but I
also haven't approached him with the prospect of
taking over.

Trust is a major issue, if you are trustworthy and are
willing to make an effort and not hurt the students,
the school along with student base, equipment, website
takeover is free.

Running a school is time consuming and can sometimes
be financially and emotionally draining. Students come
and go and at times you are a role model for the
community and at other times a shoulder to cry on.

It is a great responsibility to be an instructor since
you are not only protecting the art and school
reputation, but you also are protecting your students.
"I learned this from Professor Buell"

One must curb their ego, to not be controlled by it.

If Anyone interested to give me a call at Toshi
282-8541

Until a candidate is found, I will continue to teach.
