MC Haddock vs Jam Master Josh

Happy New Year all,

They said he couldn't be rivalled!
They said he couldn't be beaten!

....but on Saturday Night a true contender emerged!

For those of you that where fortunate enough to witness the
greatest 'Dance Off' since Breakdance 2 'Electric Bogaloo', the
members at Holtwhites were treated to a breakdance extravaganza,
with shapes and moves being thrown were with a flagrant disregard
for their bodies and in some cases their age!

'The Burn-out to end all Burn-out's' had begun!

Josh opened up with a 'Running Man' of great poise, energy and
direction. Pat opened up with his own version 'The Zimmer Man'
fuelled by Scrumpy, gout and a bad back. I'll let you imagine how
that looked.

But unphased Pat unleashed his personal favourite 'The Freestyle',
this confused Josh and to be honest he looked a little lost, this
was probably owing to the fact that JMJ had based his routine on
balance, talent and rythmn and not a Somerset distillery!

With the 1st XI skipper tiring, the youngster saw his chance and hit
Pat with a quick one-two. Firstly a 'Caterpillar' completed to
perfection, then secondly a 'Backspin' that could have been mistaken
for a Spinning Top such was the speed and grace.

At this point the 'The Champ' looked for all the world out on his
feet, so with Pat in a similar state to that of Mr Balboa at the end
of Rocky 1, he summoned up all his energy and a double Brandy for
one last push!......

...with a 'backspin' of his own, although this did not go according
plan. This best way to descibe this is, if you can imagine a
tortoise on it's back not being able right itself you are not far
from what we saw either!

Never the less once everything had been said and done, a winner had
to be chosen and although my decision may seem may seem a little
controversial, I hope you will agree with my reasoning!

1. First and foremost, Pat is my friend
2. Secondly, Pat is my captain, oh by the way Pat can I open this
season please?
3. And Thirdly, Josh, for me, was just a little too good, a little
too practiced some might! Sort of 'practice in my bedroom on rainy
days' too good!

Anyway there you have it, the ramblings of a envious Welshman - If
only I could dance like Pat!

Break-it down!
