When I went to register today, I got news that the other guy
recruiting teams had greatly overestimated the number of players he
thought he could bring to the league. As of a few days ago, he had
upwards of 12--sufficient with our 15 to form the four necessary
teams. However, many of his players are college students and as of
today he could only muster 5.

Instead of pushing forward with a League, HRCA wants to try again in
September. In the meantime, they are planning to step up their
advertising and awareness building--they remain committed to getting
it going. If we're committed to making this thing work, we'll need to
beat the bushes a bit more and help raise awareness as well. With the
weather cooling and colder weather coming in, I'd imagine indoor
league play making a lot more sense.
