I think we should combine the sports and play inline ultimate. Now we've got something marketable.
I'm open to trying the pickup and the league. However, I think the response will be better during winter when people don't want to play outside.

Subject: [HRUltimate] Indoor Ultimate--Westridge
Westridge Rec Center is considering adding a "drop in" time for
Ultimate, one day a week in the early a.m. Probably 5-7 am.
They're also considering a 4 on 4, 4 team league as a pilot this
summer--to continue into fall and winter if the interest is there.
I've thrown the disc on the arena floor after my son's hockey
practice and I think it would work pretty nicely--it takes a decent
heave to get it from one end to the other--ok, that's not saying
much. Steve Bernizoni is the administrator looking into it--
apparently they want to move beyond Westridge's reliance on in-line
hockey and want to introduce new uses/sports and thus Ulti. He's
trying to hook up with the UPA in Boulder for some guidance on how
to approach it, do rules, etc. Their big question is whether the
interest would be there from the broader Highlands community.
Personally, I think the drop-in pick- up would be workable at the hour
proposed, just another Ulti option that I could get to. I've told
him about our group and he's very interested to know what we think.
E-mail me with your thoughts/interest and I'll pass it on. Ed
