Re: Questions about the GTO, the GT5, and the GT3

B-)Yes ... New from '08 onward is the option to run 16" wheels with the gt - Series II NSR steering.

I have an 06 GT5 - it's NEVER failed me in the over 15,000 miles I put on it, I ride it everwhere and in all weather and in all types of conditions!  Eventhough the 16" wheels are ... real stiff and make for a real bumpy ride when your not on smooth as glass roads - I like the exstra stability they do offer because your even closer to the ground;) {I do have Ataxia - a neurological disease that impares my balance}.  And If you ever pack it down, the smaller wheels do come into play.

The new in 08  Seires II NSR steering I well worth getting - in my world anyhow!  Disc brakes ... toss up both types are very, very good!  (a bit more feel & feadback with Drums and sure stops, my disc seem to take less effort to use, but they don't 'modulate' as well (they are either on or off!)  But I never ever even think of 'not enough stopping power' - I do pull a brike/trike tailer with 75 - 100LBS often, with NO problems at all (the Tires & Road are the weakes link with them!)
