I don't know for sure but I'll bet the frame is not different. I'll bet
it's only the components. Which may not be a bad thing either. I think
mine's a 2004. I chose all the components myself. I'll bet the brakes on
a new one are disk. I have drum brakes and they are great! I would not
be afraid of an older one at all if it had been well cared for. It's
perfect for your trip. You'll love it. No better way to travel.
