If you want to really go nuts try measuring the shim thickness inside
the boom tube. There virtually is no standard thickness for that.
The HD designation is supposed to apply to the wall thickness of the
tubing, not generally the diameter. The GTO I'm working on has carted
close to 500lbs either on it or a trailer for desert touring. So I'm not
too worried about it being too lightly built. My Son gets it when I get
it done.
One of the other things, which applies to my GTR is how the early
Greenspeeds were built. The front hubs were remachined front disk hubs,
mostly Sachs. But I was told by Paul that they custom machined the
axles to match the hubs which varied in width. So each trike could be
different.
My GTR is from the mid 90's. Originally nearly all Sachs components,
including the Sachs disc brakes and remachined Sachs hubs. I'm thinking
about ordering a extra set of kingpin assembly's for the GTR so I can
convert it to Magura disc brakes. I already have the brakes and hubs
needed. But I do really like the Sachs brakes.

Waterfront only a very short distance south of the Trident sub base.
Olympic View community, and a Silverdale address. They moved there in
the 60's when it was a huge amount cheaper and far, far more rural. Dad
was head of Olympic College Engineering department for many years until
he retired.
It's being overrun with rich Californians judging from my last few times
up there. Coming back only occasionally it's a real shock each time.
Californians willing to pay massive sums for places that they then tear
down and build their own piles. Really tough on Mom to pay taxes now,
though she will probably die before they throw her out. She lost dad a
couple years ago. They bought the place originally for $24000. Might
bring a million now. Large family so I won't get rich however much it
goes for.
