It only makes about an inch of difference, but in the Prius, that inch
matters :) By the way, our Prius is a 2002 model, so the newer one may
have a different door shape. I also tested the GT3 successfully in a
Toyota Echo before I bought it.
By the way, that Prius is the best car I've ever bought. Close to 70K
miles now in 6 years, and still no non-routine maintenance repairs,
not to mention its getting twice the mileage of our Passat. We're
giving the Passat to our son this summer and planning to try and be a
one car, multi-bike family again.
What I would lust after car-wise now is a hybrid version of the
original Scion XB. Here's hoping something like that exists by the
time we need another car.
