I bought a Greenspeed GT3 in November, 2007. My key requirement, like
yours, was easy folding. The GT3 folds quickly (a couple of minutes)
into my Toyota Prius, so getting it into an XB will be no problem.
If you are serious about riding, you won't be 270# for long, so I'd go
for it. In September, 2004, when I bought my first Dahon folder (rated
for 230#), I weighed 250#. After lunch today I weighed under 170#,
thanks in large part to being more active than I used to be and eating
only when my stomach rumbles to tell me it's actually hungry.
I would have preferred the X3, but was able to buy the GT3 at a
special price. My wife urged me to consider the GT3 because it would
be easier for me to see with trifocals with its higher-angle seat. If
I had it to do over, I'd still prefer the X3's seat, which fits me
better. The GT3 fits my wife better, and she's taking it over, so all
is fine.
Unless you plan to ride down a lot of mountains, the disc brakes of
the X5 may not be needed. I was advised against them for riding here
in the flatlands of Illinois because the drum brakes of the X3 and GT3
are plenty strong for that use, and removing the wheels of the X3 and
GT3 is easier with the drum brakes than on the disc brakes of the X5.
For added comfort, one other folding trike worth considering is the HP
Velotechnik Scorpion fx. Its rear wheel is suspended, which does help
soak up jolts from the pavement. Now that my wife is taking over my
GT3, I also have one of those on order. Caution: the HP costs more!
Here's Bentrider's review of the fx:

If you are anywhere near Oakland, CA, Zach Kaplan's bike shop had both
an X3 and a Scorpion in stock last November.
So far as I've found, there are no other folding trike options yet.
