I am not near you but I just brought home my second Greenspeed yesterday. I have never owned another brand of trike but I ride with folks who ride: Greenspeed (GTT & GT5. I have a GTO and an X3); Catrikes; ICE; WizWheels; Trisled; Lightfoot. I have ridden all of these. Naturally, my impressions/reactions are subjective. I do also have the experience of knowing these folks and their experiences with their trikes over the last year or so.
The only trike that I would consider the equal of the Greenspeed is the ICE. The GS wins here however in that if folding is one of your druthers, my X3 is in the trunk of my car in about a minute. My friend's ICE is there in about 10 with a lot more rigmarole.
You have to test ride several trikes. You have to spend the money to get the quality. Call Kelvin Clark at Angletech and have a talk. Use my name. I have bought 3 recumbents from him. http://www.angletechcycles.com/
Go to Bent Rider Online http://www.bentrideronline.com/ and browse the site. Go their message boards and browse the specialty sections on trikes. Lurk on their classifieds and write the folks selling trikes to engage them in specifice conversations about their experience, why they're selling. In a couple of weeks you'll have a real feel for what you're getting when you choose one brand over another. Good luck.

Hello. I have been thinking of getting a trike for quite some time.
Two questions: Is there anyone near me in the Akron/Cleveland Ohio
area that actually owns one? I would love to talk with them.
Secondly, I am thinking about the Greenspeed brand but hesitate, like
most folks, at the rather astronomical prices they want for these
little gems. Are they actually any better than Wizwheels, Catrtrike,
Trice, etc? Talking to dealships (Hostel Shop for one) is just
useless. They give you some mumbo-jumbo about "They are good
trikes..." Nothing factual of course. You've really got to want one of
these things to go through the headaches of buying one. If there is
anyone out there near me that I could talk to, please contact me. I
would certainly appreciate it. Thanks.
