Hello Folks,
I am a new owner of a GT3, which I purchased from the Silver Comet
Depot just west of Atlanta. I tried the Catrikes and looked over
Wizwheels (sp?) and settled on the Greenspeed. Of course, as soon as
I got it home the weather turned cold for a couple of weeks. But
last weekend I got to take it out in the neighborhood - Brookhaven.
Mid 60's, sun shining, what a blast!
I have a couple of questions for the old hands here.
1. What portable pump do you use and how do you mount it? I have
found that those mini-pumps are just about worthless. Any input
would be appreciated.
2. When I am in upper gears chugging along, I tend to go from side
to side. I experimented with just shifting my weight instead of
putting some oompf into pedaling, with the same result. I think it
has more to do with weight shift than leg effort, if that makes any
sense. My question is this. Is there some set-up (toe-in maybe?)
that will minimize this? I used to ride a SWB recumbent and I had
good enough technique track staight on that bike, a Lightning
Thunderbolt. Perhaps I'll improve just like I did on the two-wheeler.
What great fun. I use different muscles on the trike, though, and I
am pretty sore after just an hour. The biggest problem is in the
cheekbone area from smiling way too much. I'll work on that. Naaah...
