Hey Richard et al,
Wow Vancouver. Darn I wish I had have had a moment to catch up with you on the
rides (is that too many hads to make sense). In fact I would like to build some
kinda time machine thingy that lets me travel back in time and space to both
those rides so I can catch up with all the folk on them and hear their stories –
of both the ride and how they ended up on it and all the rest of the stunning
tales I hear from people on the rides.
I visited Vancouver – only for a day or so and was amazed to learn that there
had been so much done in cycling (I had heard about over the years) without a
huge and effective lobby group – how does this happen? I was actually in
Vancouver sussing out the possibilities of a ride there and concluded that the
Island or the Okanogan (sop?) might be possibilities – whatdyareckon?
Anyways to your question – we are formulating our plans for the next rides at
the moment and will be making our super duper stupendous announcements about
forthcoming rides soon (ishJ). A hint for the Trojans who remain on this list
is that the MPum ride will be the only ride for this year in SA and the route
and dates for the next GwcBR is a tightly held secret requiring special security
clearances. However, I can reveal that I recently went on a pedal along the
south coast and found a way through Stillbaia, Witsand, Anniston Hermanas, Gans
Baia and more. And also that the weather forecast for next year looks lovely.
Well done for surviving the two rides and thanks for the prompt.
Regards,
Paul McKay

We aspire to a place where people work on projects that improve others’ lives.
We love bicycles and cycling. Imagine people’s lives if they rode their bicycle
more: their health and fitness, the environment, the impact on infrastructure,
the economic ease of transport, the freedom, through the pure enjoyment. We just
love cycling.
