Hi Alex,
I am also
based in Jhb (Midrand to be precise). I am keen to meet fellow riders,
especially those who have done it before. Some of us are not sure what we have
let our self in for and it will be nice to have a chat with the
“veterans”. Only started cycling a month ago, so not sure if I will
be fit.
I see on
Facebook that we are now 7 “confirmed attendees”. I am sure that we
can communicate here on the GWBR Forum and on Facebook.
I learned a
new term today, thanks to Paul McKay - (The Luddites were a social
movement of British textile artisans in the early nineteenth century who
protested against the changes produced by the Industrial Revolution, which they
felt threatened their livelihood. - I Googled it . )
Paul, I will
try to compile some instructions for Facebook , but the best way to get to know
it is to dabble with it !
I will be
back in Joburg on the 18th of October and maybe all our Joburgers /
Pretorianers could set up a group ride - pub evening - braai - get
-togeter thing ?
