Greetings from Vancouver, Canada.
Hi there Jinx,
My wife and I (both in our 60;s) rode the GWCBR last year and we thought it was great at any price but incredibly great for the small cost that we paid. Have a look at what other operators charge. Sure, this is not a luxury trip but the camping on rugby fields was never a problem for us. We found the food excellent by any standards and I really do not understand how anyone could complain about it. There were problems, on a few days, with the showers and toilets, but I am sure that Paul will have them under control this year. We were both always able to get a shower, every day and the weather was so hot that, often, we preferred a cold shower. The entertainment was "homegrown" by which I mean that local people were used. Their enthusiasm and spontainaity made up for any lack of professionalism (except for one night when
the hip hop performance was outstanding)
Please do not expect luxury. Expect to be sometimes hot, or cold or wet and expect the odd puncture. Above all, please do not spoil the trip for others by moaning if a few things are less than perfect. .
Kind regards Richard Warnes.

I am so exited to go on this trip. Friends of a friend was on it last
year and they complained the food was not good, on a rugby field with
800 people, there were only 20 toilets and showers and that the water
was cold. Also that the entertainment was very limited and not as
advertised.
Please assure me that they are wrong? - I don't mind roughing it, but
I am saving ever sent to go on this, and don't want to pay for things
we won't get...
Good luck with all the preperations and looking forward to a great
event.
