Leading a tour in Halton? Read this!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #385 of 2552 |

This message is for anyone leading a tour in Halton region this year.
This may affect the "Hilly Hundred" or Rattlesnake Point rides
(possibly others) later in the year.

Sixth Line in Milton will be closed from Campbellville Road to No. 15
Sideroad for construction from June 13 to Oct. 31 this year. Sixth
Line offers a steep climb that some may have planned to include in
their rides. The detour route (either Regional Road 25 or Guelph Line)
offer much higher traffic volumes, so you may wish to reroute that
section of the ride. There are several other low volume rural roads in
that section of Halton, but none that are directly parallel for a
detour route.

Anyway, just want to get the word out early. Info. like this is one of
the benefits of my day job, I guess.
