Hi Jeff, The agm date has still to be set. You don't need to wait till the agm to present a ride. Just email our director of touring Shirley Inglis (this email is CC: to her) that you're interested in setting up a ride. Shirley will contact you when she wants the ride leaders to submit rides for next year. Fred

Hi Jeff, Don't believe we have met. In 1997 I went on a week long bicycle trip called Cyclone run by a gentleman named George Kramer, not that one. It was a camping/cycling trip supported by Brauns bicycle store in Kitchener and in subsequent years Brauns took it over till 2005. Unfortunately the Brauns family decided it was too much effort for too little return. In my 97 trip, we camped at Baden, Exeter, Wingham, 2 nights at Port Elgin, Walkerton and Palmerston returning to Baden to pick up our cars. I had a great time and there was some very nice cycling every day. If you wanted to lead a tour in your backyard, come to the general meeting and talk to our director of touring Shirley Inglis or just email her, her email is on the website. New trips are always welcomed. I suggest you lay out your ride now before the snow comes so you'll be all ready for next year. If your question is "why should I"? Every tour leader and executive in gcbt is a volunteer, we have no full time employees. We lead rides for the love of cycling. I joined the club in 1995, led my first ride (Lake Simcoe South Shore, 70 and 100 km) in 1996 and have led rides for the club since then. Leading a ride gives you a new perspective on cycling and a good feeling of being a contributing member of gcbt. I look forward to going to one of your rides. Fred Lee p.s. as for your remarks about the mpps' in Toronto, you're giving them too much credit for actually thinking?!

are there any tours that are west of london or is the gcbt just like the mpp's in toronto thinking that ontario ends at london?
