Finger Lakes Tour - Friday July 31 to Monday August 3   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #2280 of 2553 |
The registration for the Finger Lakes tour is going well. In fact, the
air-conditioned accomodations (ODells) are now full but there is still space in
the non-air-conditioned accomodations (Emerson). I will send email
confirmation, to those whose registration i have received recently, this coming
weekend.

Emerson House, which has the non-airconditioned rooms has 40 riders registered.
Emerson will be the "home base" for the weekend, where you will check in on
friday, the location for the friday night "reception" (more on that in a
forthcoming email), and the location for the pre-ride meetings. There are still
both singles and doubles available in Emerson.

If you're interested in the weekend, I ask that you get your registration and
cheque in the mail right away. I need to provide a headcount to the college by
Friday July 17 (just one week away!).

A reminder about the value for the weekend - the cost is $135/per person which
gets you the following:

- 3 nights accomodations in single or double occupancy
- 3 breakfasts
- 2 dinners
- a friday night reception
- 3 full days of riding and a "warm up" ride upon arrival on Friday
- absolutely fabulous riding companions!
- and guaranteed spectacular scenery.

Oh, and did i mention that i've negotiated with the "weather-gods" that the
weekend be warm, sunny and dry!

For those who have registered, I will be sending out an email with last minute
details regarding arrival, what to bring, etc. following the July 17 deadline.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Also a reminder that you will need a current passport for the border crossing if
coming from Canada. The turnaround on passports has been under 2 weeks for my
passport and that of a few friends (using the Kitchener passport office) so
there's still time but you'll have to act quickly.

Catherine
