Hi
Alan:
There is another area that I’ve
skied only once but have hiked it many times with my dog. It isn’t “skis only” in
winter so you’d have to contend with a not-so-perfect track as schneiders bush. The terrain, however, is very similar to
Schneiders – also some great elevation changes
and demanding climbs and descents. Probably enough trail to ski for close to
2 hours without retracing steps.

Subject: [Great Canadian Bicycle
Tours] Cross-Country Skiing at Schneider's Bush in Waterloo
If you're a cross-country skier and don't know about
Schneider's Bush in Waterloo, keep reading.
This is an incredible set of trails set in the rolling
woods and fields of the Waterloo Moraine, on the outskirts of Waterloo.
I've just finished mapping out the trails using GPS,
and creating a GoogleEarth coordinates file. For more information, see my website and click on the trails link at
the top.
GCBT members are scattered all over South-Western
Ontario. I'm keen to learn about other cross-country skiing areas that
are uncrowded and challenging for one to three hour outings. Please post
your comments about other areas.
Cheers,
...alan
