Robbie Paul to end his career as a hooker - Evergreen half-back Robbie Paul is ready to end his career as a hooker, conceding that his old Bradford boss Brian Noble was right after all. The former New Zealand international fought to resist Noble's attempts to turn him into a hooker and it was the promise of a run at scrum-half that persuaded him to leave Odsal for Huddersfield three years ago.

Rugby league European Federation looks to expand staff - Continued expansion and interest in Rugby League, on the back of the success of the recent World Cup, has seen the European Federation advertise development officer posts for Germany and Jamaica. The successful candidates - whose duties will include furthering domestic competition, coordinating activities with other international Rugby League bodies and acting as an Ambassador for the sport - will bolster the extended RLEF infrastructure to help cope with the increasing demand for support.

Steps taken towards establishing Rugby League in Pakistan - The first tentative steps have been taken towards establishing Rugby League in Pakistan, following a visit by RLEF Executive and Development Officer Kevin Rudd to Islamabad recently. He was accompanied on the fact-finding mission by former England international Ikram Butt, the founder of the British Asian Rugby Association.
