The Burdekin Rugby League, situated in Cowboy country 100km south of Townsville, is looking for an inside back for the 2009 season. The club plays in the Townsville Rugby League and were A Grade premiers in 2000, 2001(undefeated), 2003 and 2005 under Noel Goldthorpe. We were runners up in 2006 and preliminary finalists in 2002, 2004 and 2008.

Teams nominated are U20's, U22's plus 2 Opens teams. Valley's will compete in the 2009 Premier North & South Opens 1 grade as well as in a second Opens grade.

Masters, a former Western Suburbs coach and leading Sydney journalist, is one of the headline acts for the February 7-8 Conference in Townsville.
