St.Christophers RLFC seeks U/19 players for season 2009 - St.Christophers JRLFC compete in the Canterbury District Junior Rugby League. In 2009 Canterbury DJRL is staging an U/19s competition and for the first time the Saints are looking to field a team in this competition. We have began putting a team together and to continue on with tradition of quality sides. We have so far recruited four players from NRL developement squads and season 2009 is shaping up well.

NEWS - NRL reveals future plans to fans - NRL officials yesterday told club members of plans to help teams keep long-term players, rein in video referees and reduce the influence of coaches in rule-making. A room full of fan representatives yesterday challenged CEO David Gallop on broadcasting, wrestling, refereeing, player misbehaviour and ownership at a two-and-a-half hour Sydney Football Stadium talkfest.

NEWS - Ian Millward calls for quota change I was very disappointed with England's performance against Australia last weekend. I've coached a lot of those players and just didn't see them playing to their full ability or their undoubted potential. They lacked aggression in attack and defence, they lacked cohesion despite the fact the team was comprised predominately of Leeds and St Helens players.

The squad has been depleted by injuries to key players Michael Jennings and Willie Manu, while Fui Fui Moi Moi and Taniela Tuaki remain unavailable due to eligibility rulings and will not play a game in the World Cup tournament.

The first four training exercises discussed were Split Squats, Step Ups, One-Legged Calf Raises and Push Ups.
CHIN UPS - MUSCLES WORKED
. Pectoralis major (chest), lat.dorsi (upper back), teres major (shoulder blade), posterior deltoid (rear shoulder) and biceps (arms).
METHOD OF EXECUTION
. bar held in an underhand grip (palms facing body) with hands shoulder width apart
. lifting commences with arm in a straight position, body directly under bar
. continue pulling body upward until chin clears the bar
. inhale during ascent and exhale during descent
. ensure that legs are kept in line with torso as much as possible and are not swung forward to assist in raising body upwards Read more..
