Cessnock Rugby League Football Club is looking for a Coach-Captain/Coach for 2007 to lead us in the very competitive Newcastle Tooheys Cup Competition.
Cessnock is located in the Heart of the Hunter Valley Wine District & is situated only 45 minutes to Newcastle & 2 hours from Sydney.
The Cessnock Club has been a successful club over the past 75 years since its inception to the league.
The suitable applicant will have experience & qualifications in coaching at a senior level in a professional or semi-professional environment & must have an extensive knowledge & a no nonsense attitude towards achieving results is a necessity.

U17's Junior Girls Rugby League
The U17's Junior Girls Rugby League competition has kicked off in Brisbane with three teams starting the season.
Deception Bay, Pine Rivers and Wests Mitchelton have all entered teams into the 2006 Premiership which is expected to expand next year with possible teams from Greenbank, West Centenary and Brothers Ipswich.
Deception Bay and Pine Rivers opened the competition with their first hit out at Deception Bay JRLC on Saturday 20th March. A large crowd was in attendance to see the inaugural match, both teams displaying plenty of skill throughout the match.
All teams are still recruiting new players so if you are between the ages of 15 and 17 years and keen to take up the challenge, contact any of the following clubs to obtain further details:

Southport & Ormskirk playing at Edge Hill University
Anyone local English players interested or looking for a new club Southport & Ormskirk RL will be playing at Edge Hill University in 2006/7 season. Site of the recent GB Lions training camp.
The club have joined up with its sister club Ormskirk Heelers to offer rugby league all year round in the NW counties and Summer conferences competions.
The club is looking for players interested in playing next season at the club which is developing and moving forward.
Players from local colleges and universities are welcome as are players from Wigan, St Helens, Skemersdale, Ormskirk, Southport all over really.
The club can offer home games in top facilities, quality coaching, new kit and clubwear, physio on match days and will be backed by sponsorship money.
