Warrington new boy Paul Rauhihi insists there is no need to push the panic button despite the Wolves' shock home defeat to Salford in their Super League opener.
The Kiwi prop admitted there was a great sense of frustration in the squad after their flop in front of a crowd of nearly 11,000 at the Halliwell Jones, but Rauhihi reckons one bad result does not make a side bad
"We realise that there's a lot of expectation on us and we didn't live up to that against Salford," said the 32-year-old.
"We can't make any excuses for the mistakes we made and we need to get better. I think that's all we can do and try and build up for our next game at Huddersfield."
Rauhihi has been appointed club captain following his close-season move from North Queensland Cowboys. He will be stressing to his new teammates that ball retention is the key for the Wolves.
"There are certainly plenty of things we can improve on," he added. "Our ball retention let us down and if we can improve on that then that will be a good start to other things happening for us.
"The side has got a lot of talented players, but the fact that we turned the ball over quite a bit didn't allow us to see as much of that as we'd have liked.
"It comes back to completion again. Once we start completing sets there will be more chance of someone getting hold of the ball and doing something special."

"I believe all clubs and coaches at all levels should have a copy of RLCM Books as a coaching resource" Wayne Bennett - Brisbane Broncos
The Ruck is the Centre of the Universe
By Owen Dalkeith
Continued from Monday
Coaching the attacking player who has been turtled.
Sometimes the defender will win and the attacker will end up on their back.
A quick recovery from this point is vital to ensure that the play the ball is quick enough to still put the defence under pressure.
Coach the 'turtled' player to bring the knee closest to the ball up to his chest, roll towards the ball and using the outside leg stand up in one motion and play the ball with the other leg.
In all play the balls the minimum amount of movements will create a quicker play the ball.
A key point for recovery from a 'turtled' position is to coach your players to remain tight so that their arms and legs are not spread.
If the tackled player fights the tackle rigorously and in doing so spreads out, he provides the defender with more opportunity to pin him to the ground.
Coach your players to stay tight and roll rather than fight.
