Hi,
My name is Tom Simec and I am a student of translation (ger / eng)
from Slovenia. For my degree I am working on a comprehensive soccer
glossary (slo-eng-ger) and I have come across some problems. I hope
You can help me. I have a few questions:

- is ELECTRIC BOARD the right expression for the device the fourth
official uses to indicate substituions and injury time?
- I have come across the term HEADING DUEL; does also the terms GROUND
DUEL (or duel on the ground) exist?
- some german soccer statistisc also include data on the duels a
player has won/lost; I would like to know whether it is possible to
name a statistics cathegory DUELS LOST and DUELS WON (eg: duels lost:
57)?
- also statistics: is it correct to say e.g. Rivaldo had 56 BALL
CONTACTS during the last match?
- a questions regarding techniques: what is the trick called the
Brazilian players (Ronaldo, Denilson) perform when they throw one leg
around the ball? Is it correct to describe it as FEINTING WITH
THROWING ONE LEG AROUND (OVER) THE BALL?
- if we divide the game into phases (offence and defence phase), can
we call the the final offence phase FINISH OF THE ATTACK (=shot at
goal)

Thank You in advance for Your replies.

Tom Simec
