Me too! My U-10 Girls team leave a large hole in the middle and that is where
they lose it. We play 7 v 7, so I play 2 triangles where the there is 2-2-2, but
the 2 mid-field play fron mid and rear mid to help fill the hole in the middle,
but then they wind up running with the wrong group. Any stratagy to help with
this would be apprecited
Mario

Subject: [Good, Bad and Ugly (about Soccer)] Midfield Dilemma
I coach U10 and U13 teams - and both have weaknesses in "controlling the
middle of the field". We have good action on the very offensive end - and
also on the very defensive end - But our mid fielders - cannot seem to 1)
run the entire field 2) keep from getting caught too far upfield. Its tough
to get 10 year old kids to run the entire field (we play a 3-2-3).
Any suggestions?(practice drills or game strategy?)
Coach Charlie
