Welcome to the Sacramento area tandem club, founded in July 1999. As the area's only tandem specific club, we have designed our rides to take advantage of the tandem's unique characteristics, focusing our schedule on areas that include rolling hills and rural roads. We encourage members to ride together and enjoy one another's company both during and after the ride.

Founders note: We have elected to open club membership without requiring dues to help give the tandem club a boost and time to rebuild. Gold Country Tandem Club is League of American Bicyclists (LAB) affiliated and has been paying for club insurance. We may in the future depending on club re-growth require dues to help pay for the insurance.

Ann and I plan to lead one ride per month on the first Sunday of each month weather permitting. We encourage others to step forward and lead tandem club rides. Just post the ride date, time, start location, approx distance and ride difficulty. Planned rides can then be viewed directly from the this group page, and/or by members who elect to receive messages from the yahoo group site. I apologize in advance for the all the commercial content within the yahoo group.
