WOMEN'S LEAGUE REVIVED IN 2009 :: PLAYER TO WATCH I've looked over the drafts, international players and US Team choices, and I'm getting excited! Like most of you, I've really missed the WUSA and call it WPS or what you will, I'm just glad the girls are back! Of course I'm still a goalkeeper fan. So my first pick for Player To Watch is a GK. I think the most exciting addition to the new lineup is EMMA BYRNE! I have loved watching this Goalkeeper since I first met her when the Arsenal Ladies faced the CyberRays in Oklahoma quite a few years ago now. Emma also plays for the Irish National Team so I'm sure many of you have seen her in one of our many state side matches. You may also recall the game where Heather O'Reilly collided with Byrne right before the 2003 World Cup in a warmup match in Salt Lake City, Utah. O'Reilly suffered a broken fibula and missed the World Cup! Byrne completed the game. Welcome to the American Leagues!.
