- The Raiders have great fan support in Oakland.


- Can't comment on the tailgaiting.


- The Raiders are closing up a HUGE fraud suit against The
Oakland/Alameda Colosseum Commission,their accounting firm of Arthur
Andersen and point man Ed DeSilva. They've been screwing the Raiders
out of luxury box and PSL money for years and,even worse,effectively
poisoned the well of future sales by announcing that they were "SOLD
OUT...FOR TEN YEARS" in '95. Check Raiders.com for the latest
details. If the Raiders win the settlement should be HUGE. They may
get a lot more control over facilities and fees.


- If I understand right,this suit is just a civil action. If the
Raiders win it could bring the State down on the Commission and the
Feds down on Arthur Andersen. I hope for far worse than a recall. I
hope that they draw and quarter the whole lot of them.


- If the Raiders win the suit and get everything they want they may
stay in Oakland. I would. Of course,you never know with Al Davis.
He
has always had a mind of his own and a nose for the best deal for the
team.
