In November we will be one year old. Thanks to all of you for
joining. If you know anyone who might be interested please pass the
word.
I've learned an awful lot about what I can and can't do with a Yahoo
discussion group so I decided to buckle down and clean the place up a
little. I hope that you like the new look. KNBR/KTCT was gracious
enough to give me a logo that you can click to listen to their
station
online and tune into the Raider game webcasts. They have a great
lineup including pre and post game interviews that you can't get
anywhere else. Tune in PLENTY early on Gameday so that you can get
your slice of bandwidth. Once their server is fully loaded you can't
get connected.
I added a file to the files section named
touchdown_rrrrrrrrrrrraiders.wav. It is a recording of KNBR/KTCT-AM
Raider play-by-play announcer Greg Papa screaming out his traditional
announcement of yet another Raider touchdown. The people at
KNBR/KTCT
were kind enough to let me have a copy. If you listen to the
webcasts
of the Raider games online you've heard it before.
Here's how to make it the sound that Windows makes when it starts up:
Download the file from the file section and save it to C:
\Windows\media
Open the Windows control panel and click Sounds & Multimedia
Under "Sound Events" scroll down to Start Windows and under "Name"
click the down arrow and choose touchdown_rrrrrrrrrrrraiders.wav from
the menu. Click the play button to make sure it plays. When you
start Windows you'll hear "TOUCHDOWN RRRRRRRRRRAIDERS!". I think
it's
cool. I hope that you do too.
