This is another question I got from  danrishel@....

Question:

I'm trying to find a t-shirt with a Notre Dame helmet and a Nebraska Husker
helmet on it that says "tradition" or something like that.  Have you seen it
or do you have a site where I can look for it?  I've been searching for
about 30 minutes in many ND merchandise sites with no luck so far.  Any help
you  could give me would be appreciated.

Wow.  Lots of questions for a Monday Morning  :-)  Your questions are great.  It must be the time of year I have gotten a number of emails like this.  I think I am going to add the information to my ND site www.geocities.com/Eureka/Concourse/4046/NotreDame.html. 

 

Yes, I know of a few other places ND fans may want to visit.  You mentioned most of them but, here are some others.  You can also go to www.irishline.com and post on the message board (it is a very active message board) and ask for others to tell you their favorite locations too.  You should get lots of ideas.

 

1.  Pat's Colonial Pub in Mishawaka.  Once I saw Moose Krause there.  It was awesome.  They play the ND fight song many times during dinner.  It is crowded and I would call to see about reservations. 219-259-8282  901 W. 4th. St (Corner of 4th and Smith)  It is fine dining in a casual atmosphere.  Worth going.

 

2.  Corby's Irish Pub.  (It was in the Rudy movie) 441 E. LaSalle (downtown South Bend) 219-233-5326  This one is a bar setting!

 

3.  Frank's Place 327 W. Marion 219-232-2277.  This has 7 Big screen TV's Open 7 days a week. 

 

Yes, the JC Penney does have tons of ND stuff aside from the Bookstore it is a must stop.  It is full of ND items.

 

As for getting ND signed stuff try the local baseball cards shops...search online for them too. Bullpen & Dugout Sports Cards is near the Sears in the Mall on Grape Rd.  219-271-7067  It does have ND stuff.  I think they are online too.  When you get to South Bend look in the yellow pages.  There are many listed.

 

The ND merchandise catalogs have lots of unique stuff.  Flags and tons of other stuff.  If you want these catalogs let me know.  I can get your 4 different ones for $3.  You can pay me for them online through PayPal.

I really believe thgat Notre Dame is going to be much better than the
"experts" think.  I predict that we will beat A&M and Nebraska.  I also
think that a TRUE Notre Dame fan/family member would not root for a loss
just so a coach can be fired.  THAT IS NOT NOTRE DAME!  I personally hope ND
wins all of their games and Davie is rewarded!  There ARE some out there who
hope ND loses so they can have their choice of coach installed. Once again,
that is not a real Notre Dame fan!

the overtime period of their second game of the season, they surrendered a
rushing touchdown to quarterback Eric Crouch which lifted top-ranked
Nebraska to a 27-24 victory at Notre Dame Stadium. In all, the Cornhuskers'
playcaller rushed for three touchdowns in a game that saw Nebraska withstand
the Irish's second-half comeback. The loss was Notre Dame's first of the
season, which squared its record at 1-1. In the extra session, before
Crouch's game-winning scamper from seven yards out, Notre Dame took its
first lead of the game on Nick Setta's 29-yard field goal. The game included
two, huge second-half plays by the Irish, one by sophomore Julius Jones and
the other by senior flanker, Joey Getherall. Jones, who also was making his
first career start at tailback, engergized the sold-out crowd in the third
quarter by returning a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. In the fourth
quarter, Gertherall raced 83 ya!
