1) G.L.O.R.Y. Newsletter Weekly PLUS...
=======================================

Okay everyone. We're going to make a few changes with
the G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling Newsletter now that
it's 2003.

Generally speaking, I'm going to try to make the GWN
a little more "informal"...and a lot more frequent.
The goal will be to send it out on a 7-10 day
schedule.

I think the problem before was that when we had big
news to report to you, it was done on the
G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling site. That left me searching for
something to use in the newsletter! The newsletter was
actually a duplicate of the G.L.O.R.Y. site in a lot
of ways. Long stories, articles, etc. So why duplicate
what people were reading on the site anyway?

Now, I'm planning to use the G.L.O.R.Y. Newsletter in
more of an easy-going format. (I prefer to write
that way anywho.)

So, I hope you like it. Less formal...more frequent.
Think of it as more of a "companion" to the G.L.O.R.Y.
Wrestling site.

Also: the newsletter is sent out using the Yahoo!
Groups mailing list feature as always. That means
there is an actual "GloryWrestlingNews" group on
Yahoo! That *also* means that it's possible for us to
utilize some of those extra features of Yahoo!
Groups...chat, picture galleries, files, etc.

Is anyone interested in seeing any of that stuff used?
Let me know with an email or on the G.L.O.R.Y. Message
Board. If G.L.O.R.Y. fans are interested, perhaps we
can do something within the Yahoo! Group format.

2) G.L.O.R.Y. Championship Rematch Sunday!
==========================================

This Sunday, January 12th, 2002 at The Birchmount in
Toronto, Ontario...the G.L.O.R.Y. Championship is once
again up for grabs as Macaela Mercedes heads north to
challenge Phoenix for the G.L.O.R.Y. title.

Back in November, you'll remember that Phoenix
retained her title...and won the right to take over
the G.L.O.R.Y. site for a full 24 hours. CHAOS ENSUED!

The circumstances surrounding Phoenix's win were
questionable at the time and some thought that "The
Fabulous Firebird" didn't deserve the victory. Others
were convinced that Phoenix did in fact out-wrestle
the challenger.

We'll see what happens this weekend when these two
G.L.O.R.Y Girls tangle again during Apocalypse
Wrestling's "Year Of The Jaguar" event.

3) 203 in 2003?
===============

In 2002, The WebMaster set a goal of reaching 140 on
the G.L.O.R.Y. Girl roster by the end of the year. At
the time the goal was set, we had 70 ladies on the
site. It was an ambitious goal...and unfortunately, we
didn't quite make it as we ended the year at 126.

So the question was asked on the message board: How
many ladies do we predict we'll have by December 31st
of 2003?

Someone suggested 200. A good round number.

We settled on 203. Why? Simply because we thought that
"203 in 2003" was a good, corny slogan that we could
sling around for the next 50 or so weeks. Can we make
it? We're going to try.

One of the conditions of reaching 203 is that we are
also going to be paring down the roster to include
only the girls who are still active. We'll be
contacting some of the girls who may or may not still
be involved in the business to find out what their
situation is.

So when/if we hit that 203...it will be a 203-strong
"lean and mean" roster.

4) Felina on Smackdown?
=======================

Most everyone knows by now that G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Felina
has been signed by the WWE as their newest female
Superstar.

By all accounts, Felina is doing great and the WWE
people seem to be very happy with the newest addition
to their roster. (Was there ever any doubt?!)

From what we hear, Felina is having a GREAT time
living out her dream as the WWE folks keep her busy
with dark matches at their events across the country.
We don't have an EXACT date for Felina's debut on
Smackdown, but we understand that is is imminent.

Keep your TVs tuned to Smackdown on Thursday nights
and hopefully we will be seeing Felina debut shortly
as WWE's newest and hottest DIVA!

5) WWE eyes ODB!
================

Speaking of WWE...

It seems as though they have their eyes on another
G.L.O.R.Y. Girl: ODB.

The muscular G.L.O.R.Y. favorite is scheduled to
wrestle dark matches for WWE when they swing through
the Great Lakes region shortly...so we know they are
taking a look!

ODB has the body and the attitude that should capture
WWE decision-makers. Her bodybuilding experience could
easily make her a "Chyna-esque" character...and we
know how much WWE liked using Chyna (pretty much on a
weekly basis) when she was with them.

ODB has promised to let us know how her dark matches
go. When she does, we'll pass along the info to
G.L.O.R.Y. fans.

6) No DQ Radio & Web site.
==========================

Check out No DQ. Both the radio show and the Web site.

These guys know how to have fun with the business
while still being intelligent, thorough and witty
with their radio show.

The No DQ site is just as well-run. Nicely designed
and containing pertinent news items regarding WWE and
the indy scene, these guys make sure they cover the
ladies division, too.

They have interviewed G.L.O.R.Y.'s Angel Williams,
reported on the upcoming G.L.O.R.Y. Championship
match, covered the ladies who will be wrestling this
weekend for Ring Of Honor, and even featured a couple
of G.L.O.R.Y. Girls in their "Diva Of The Month"
section.

Chris Halen and crew broadcast their radio show out of
Buffalo, New York, but is also simulcast over their
Web site for those who are not in the Western New York
State area.

Check them out and give them a listen...

7) G.L.O.R.Y. Store to be updated.
==================================

The G.L.O.R.Y. Store will be updated with some new
products shortly.

Why the holdup? Well, The WebMaster needed to learn
all about stuff like "video capture cards" and
"DVD authoring". Not as exciting as bodyslams...but
necessary for editing future videos and offering a
DVD option to fans who would rather use that format.

We'll be announcing some exciting new items shortly.

8) 2002 Pictures Of The Year voting.
====================================

It's that time of year!

Time to pick the most outstanding G.L.O.R.Y. Pictures
Of The Day from the OVER 365 that you've seen since
the last awards were conducted.

The 2002 G.L.O.R.Y. POD Awards include the last couple
of months of 2001 as well. Don't ask. It's one of
those "calendar things". But now that we're on
schedule you can expect the awards every January from
here on out.

Today is the last day to nominate your favorite
pictures from all that have appeared as
G.L.O.R.Y. PODs.

9) Worker/Promoter resources to debut.
======================================

G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling will soon be debuting a new
section on the site which we hope will help workers,
promoters and the business in general.

A new resource center is planned which we hope will be
helpful to workers' needs as they relate to contacts,
licenses, training, gear, etc. As for promoters, we
are planning on introducing a way for you to hook-up
with workers who can be a part of your shows and
events.

What will G.L.O.R.Y. fans get out of this?

Nothing. Directly...

But G.L.O.R.Y. figures that anything which may make
the lives of workers and promoters a little easier
can only serve to help the business in general. And
if the wrestling business is healthy, the fans benefit
indirectly.

You should see the G.L.O.R.Y. Resource Center opening
in stages over the next several months.

10) Malia Hosaka comes to G.L.O.R.Y.!
=====================================

The WebMaster is happy to have a long-time personal
favorite lady of the ring join us on here on
G.L.O.R.Y....it's Malia Hosaka!

Malia has been a favorite since her rookie days of
the mid-80s when she was featured in many of the
wrestling magazines. Her beautiful, exotic looks and
obvious ring talents captured the attention of many.
That's why she's worked for WWE, WCW and most other
major indy feds during her career...not to mention
numerous tours around the world.

Ms. Hosaka is the first new G.L.O.R.Y. Girl of 2003...
but you can expect a lot more ladies to be joining her
on the roster soon!

Remember: 203 in 2003!
