A lot has happened here at G.L.O.R.Y. since our last
newsletter. And the major news, of course, was the
announcement of the FIRST-EVER G.L.O.R.Y. Convention &
Show to be held at the IWF Centre in West Paterson, NJ
on June 8th. The big event is only three weeks away!

Accordingly, this issue of the G.L.O.R.Y. Newsletter
will be focused on news and rumors related to
GLORYcon...

==> Some Matches Set...Others Being Negotiated.

While many matches have been set for the June 8th
G.L.O.R.Y. Convention, others are still being
negotiated.

Those set as of this moment...

* Alicia vs. Allison Danger
* Ariel vs. Phoenix
* Sonya Blackhawk vs. Lady Vendetta
* Tiffani Monroe vs. Little Jeanne

Also, negotiations are underway to showcase our lovely
managers and valets--Destiny's Diamond, Luxurious
Lynne, Princess Jade and Candi--in a "friendly
competition". What that contest will be is still being
worked out. Any news on a decision or agreement will be
reported on the G.L.O.R.Y. site as soon as it's
confirmed.

==> Alicia-Allison Danger: Friendship Over?
==>

Until recently, Allison Danger and Alicia had as
close to a "big sister-little sister" relationship as
you could get without actually being related. With
Alicia training for the ring, Allison has been a
friend, teacher, mentor and coach. That relationship
hit a snag a couple of months ago when Alicia debuted
on G.L.O.R.Y. The first thing the young rookie did was
knock Ms. Danger out of the top spot on the G.L.O.R.Y.
Hot 50 chart! Not a big deal, you say? Well, tell that
to the girls who shoot for the top spot every month.

While Allison has continued to work with Alicia, their
training sessions have taken a decidedly rougher turn.
Insiders tell us that the bumps have been harder...the
maneuvers more intense...and the holds have been held
a little longer than necessary on occasion.

Is the friendship between Allison Danger and her young
charge Alicia near an end? Or is this merely a bump in
the road which will be smoothed over by their June 8th
battle?

==> Sonya Blackhawk: Super-Confident Rookie? Or...
==>

Some have admired Sonya Blackhawk's confidence for
going after veteran Lady Vendetta this early in her
career. Since hitting the wrestling scene in late-2001,
Blackhawk has literally tailed Vendetta across the
Midwest...often showing up at cards where the battling
blonde is booked to appear against other opponents.
There has also been some sparring between the two
ladies on the G.L.O.R.Y. Message Board at times. Is it
confidence that the fiery redhead is displaying in her
taunting of the STOP sign-wielding grappler?

Perhaps. But while some would call it confidence,
others call it suicidal! As Sonya turns up the heat
on Vendetta, it seems as though the wiley ring vet may
merely be biding her time until their G.L.O.R.Y.
match-up. Will Sonya Blackhawk give Lady Vendetta a run
for her money? Or is the youngster just setting herself
up for a disastrous fall?

==> Phoenix: Grudging Respect For Ariel?
==>

From the "This Is Hard To Believe Department": It seems
as though the guts that Ariel showed in asking to be
matched against Phoenix on June 8th has actually
*impressed* the Fabulous Firebird.

Rather than attack, threaten and insult the New England
rookie through the offices of her press agent (as per
Phoenix's usual method of operation), the
self-proclaimed "greatest female wrestler in the ring
today" has actually expressed what appears to be a
grudging respect. From Phoenix's Web site:

"The wrestling world will never be the same after the
FIRST ever GLORY GIRL wrestling convention and show
comes to a reality June 8th. Up and coming high flyer,
Ariel was the first to step up to the plate after it
was announced that Phoenix had DEMANDED to be a part of
this highly publicized event."

Could Phoenix be softening up a bit? Is she calming
down as she gains experience in this business? Perhaps
she's looking forward to a good, clean, hard-fought
match with her rookie opponent?

Nahhhhhhhhhh...!

==> Tiffani In Career-Making Match Vs. Jeanne?
==>

If there's one thing that Tiffani Monroe doesn't lack,
it's confidence. She has enough of that to pass around
an entire locker room of wrestlers...and still have
plenty left over! So the fact that she has been
matched-up against veteran grappler Little Jeanne on
June 8th has not phased the blonde battler one bit.

Monroe freely admits that Jeanne will be a tough
competitor. But she also says she's not worried in the
least about their upcoming match. In fact, Tiffani
can't wait to step through the ropes against one of the
best indy wrestlers on the scene today.

"After I beat Jeanne, it just puts me that much further
up the ladder," the confident and somewhat cocky
cowgirl stated.

"Continually beating Flayre, Sahara, Sienna Blaze and
all the others has become common place. But after I pin
Little Jeanne on June 8th, it brings Tiffani Monroe to
the attention of fans everywhere."

"I've heard that kind of talk before," Jeanne
responded with a smirk when told of her opponent's
statement.

"Another one who thinks she'll make her career by
pinning me. She can talk all she wants. I'll do my
talking in the ring. And you can bet Tiffani Monroe
won't like what she hears..."

==> Wildcards: Victoria, McLean...
==>

While we can plan and schedule to our heart's content,
the fact of the matter is that with so many G.L.O.R.Y.
Girls under one roof...who can guarantee WHAT will
happen on June 8th?

* Lady Victoria's email which we received just a couple
of days ago proves that emotions run high among these
tough ladies. Victoria, apparently upset with
G.L.O.R.Y. about the talent we were bringing in for the
show, told us point-blank that she was coming to New
Jersey and nothing was going to stop her! We decided
to formally invite the muscular grappler to appear.
But will Lady V. be looking to do more? She's
threatened to get involved physically in the matches!
Is it all a ploy...or does Lady Victoria indeed intend
to crash the proceedings?

* Kiley McLean has also been said to be upset about
not being invited to compete in the G.L.O.R.Y. matches.
A rumor has been circulating that G.L.O.R.Y. match-
makers purposely skipped over McLean because they felt
the powerful wrestler would plow through the rest of
the competitors on the card. I can put that rumor to
rest by saying that it is totally false and has
absolutely no basis in fact. But what I say doesn't
count for much. What matters is: What does Ms. McLean
believe?

==> GLORYcon Press Coverage.
==>

Press coverage of the G.L.O.R.Y. Convention looks like
it will be pretty extensive as we have photographers
representing four magazines planning to join us. Also,
we have gotten inquiries from both a New York and a
Canadian television station about the event.

With three weeks to go until June 8th, we wouldn't be
surprised if more wrestling and mainstream press became
involved in covering this first-ever G.L.O.R.Y. show.

==> llwjr, YOCKEY Donate Tickets.
==>

G.L.O.R.Y. Girl fans llwjr (also known as
ChristmasBaby57) and YOCKEY (ALWAYS CAPITALIZED!) found
they were unable to attend the convention due to prior
commitments. But that didn't stop them from getting
involved.

Both fans showed their support of the ladies when they
each purchased a Super Ticket package...and then
donated the ticket portion to a young fan so that he or
she would be able to attend the show in their place.
AJ Sparxx is working through the Tomorrow's Children
Fund to make this all happen.

I'm sure all the G.L.O.R.Y. Girls and AJ Sparxx
join me in thanking llwjr and YOCKEY for their
thoughtful and generous actions. :)

2) G.L.O.R.Y. Rumors
====================

==> Foxy Stalking Luxurious Lynne?
==>

Anyone who follows the indy scene in the
New Jersey/New York area can tell you about Foxy and
Luxurious Lynne. To put it in its simplest terms: THEY
HATE EACH OTHER!

Foxy thinks Lynne is a spoiled brat who always has to
get her way...no matter who else it affects. Anytime
she has the opportunity to get her hands on "The
Luxurious One", she takes it. Foxy has publicly
threatened to go after Lynne at the convention on
G.L.O.R.Y.'s own message board...and she's not even
scheduled to be at the show!

For her part, Luxurious Lynne hates Foxy just as much.
Why? Because Foxy doesn't like her! In fact, Lynne
can't understand how anyone *couldn't* love her.

Catfight time on the convention floor?

==> Sienna Blaze To Crash The Party?
==>

With Sienna Blaze's recent addition to the G.L.O.R.Y.
site, she becomes a possible factor in this event for a
number of reasons:

1) She lives relatively close to the convention venue.

2) She may want to prove that her NEPW Heavyweight
Title is no fluke by challenging some of the G.L.O.r.Y.
Girls who are scheduled to appear.

3) She was recently defeated in a match by Tiffani
Monroe. Could revenge be on her mind?

==> Male Indy Stars To Scout Convention Floor?
==>

Another rumor that has been swirling since our
convention announcement is that some male indy stars
may be planning to attend the event. The reason? It's
been said that some are looking for valets and managers
to assist them. It could also be that, like other
G.L.O.R.Y. visitors, they are big fans of these
gorgeous and talented ladies. Who could blame them for
wanting to be at this show?
