Wow! Has it really been FOUR MONTHS since our last
G.L.O.R.Y. Newsletter? It sure has! It's amazing how
easy it is to get caught up in voting controversies
and other site issues...and lose track of things here.
Sorry about that, folks. Let's see if The WebMaster
can set the newsletter back on track, okay? :)

What's the deal about June 8th?

That seems to be the buzz among G.L.O.R.Y. fans who
have written into the site's message board or who have
emailed The WebMaster.

After a couple of quite innocent Pictures Of The Day
mentioned the date, people have been thinking that
something special must be happening in a few weeks.
Isn't it possible that it's just a coincidence?
I mean, there are only 365 days in a year, right? Why
does everyone always assume there's some ulterior
motive or something?!

But if there *is* something to it, there just may be
an announcement in 72 hours or so...

==> Flood Of G.L.O.R.Y. Girls To Hit Site
==>

Expect a G.L.O.R.Y. Girl flood in the next several
weeks. While other things have been consuming the time
of this webmaster, profiles of new ladies have been
few and far between. But that doesn't mean that
prospective G.L.O.R.Y. Girls have not been in contact
to be a part of the site.

On the contrary, we have perhaps the biggest backlog
of glamorous grapplers, marvelous managers and violent
valets ever! (Ain't alliteration amazing?)

Over the next couple of weeks, watch for another
Legend Of The Ring to join G.L.O.R.Y.

Then we have girls joining us from the Chicago-Land
area, the Mid-Atlantic region, the Big Apple,
Steel City and more.

You'll be learning all about these indy stars and
newcomers throughout April and May here on G.L.O.R.Y.!

==> G.L.O.R.Y. Hot 50 Proves Popular
==>

Since our last newsletter, one of the most popular
additions to the site has been the G.L.O.R.Y. Hot 50
(GH50).

The chart, which ranks the 50 most popular G.L.O.R.Y.
ladies based on the previous month's G.L.O.R.Y. Girl
voting totals, has caused a bit of a stir among fans.

And it has also caused quite a stir among promoters!

It seems that many indy promoters have been monitoring
the GH50 closely to see "who's hot" on the women's
indy scene. Apparently, they regard G.L.O.R.Y. fans as
something of an authority on the sport. And they're
right!

And if you assume that they only look at the top few
positions of the list...think again. Many promoters
and people in the wrestling business delve quite far
into the chart stats to see what's going on. Is a girl
a Hot Mover? Is a wrestler slowly but surely climbing
up the chart month after month? Has a manager proved
her steady popularity by remaining on the chart for
numerous months? All seem to be factors which are
apparently being taken into account.

All the more reason why every legitimate vote for your
favorite lady could make the difference in her being
"noticed by the right people".

==> Candi Is POW Pin-Up Girl!

It has recently been announced that our own Candi has
been named the Pin-Up Girl for May's POW (WOW UK)
magazine.

Look for a nice 10 page layout which will include an
exclusive interview.

It sounds like it's going to be a great treat for all
British G.L.O.R.Y. fans! Tell us all about it when the
magazine hits your newsstands...

So now we know why we haven't seen PMS in action at
Joe Rules side for much of the past year!

We're happy to report that Ms. Steinman is a new mommy
after giving birth to Lucus Austin "Steinman" on
March 19, 2002. The future WWF Superstar weighed in
at 7 pounds, 3 ounces!

While we're on the subject, we'd also like to send out
best wishes to Destiny and Violent Jade...both of whom
are expecting shortly.

Destiny's baby is planning on a late-April arrival.
Geez...that's any day now!

Violent Jade, in the meantime, has already decided on
a name. Her little wrestler will be named
"Gavin Michael". And if she has a little wrestlerette?
In that case, the birth certificate will read
"Gavrie Jade".

Best wishes to both Destiny and Violent Jade!

==> Violet Flame Stars In Sci-Fi Flick
==>

Well, you knew that it was only a matter of time
before the combination of Violet Flame and Southern
California led to an acting job for our talented and
sexy G.L.O.R.Y. Girl.!

Violet is co-starring in the decidedly low-budget (yet
special-effects filled) video "The Stooges--Episode V:
Die, Stooges, Die". The film, produced by Matt Spease,
has Violet playing the role of an evil space princess.

Mmmm...at least...I *think* she is playing the part of
an evil space princess. You can check out the plot of
the movie, see some shots of Violet's acting, get

The video is due to be released later this month. We
hope to be running a Picture Of The Day of Violet's
Oscar statue sometime in the near future. :)

2) G.L.O.R.Y. Rumors

K-I-S-S-I-N-G...

Seems lately that wherever Red of the S.A.T. team
goes, Allison Danger is not far away. Sure they make
a formidable pair when teaming together--what with Red
being recognized as one of the hottest new stars in
the ring today and Allison managing his career from
ringside while watching his back as needed.

But this webmaster thinks there's something more to
this pairing than just grappling success. Photos of
the two young wrestling stars together always seem to
show a sparkle in the eyes of the G.L.O.R.Y. Girl. A
sparkle which doesn't seem to be present when Red is
not around.

While the pair are undoubtedly a hot commodity in the
wrestling business (as attested to by their many
bookings)...are Allison and Red "an item" away from
the ring as well?

==> New Girl(s) To Invade AWF?
==>

The success of the Ladies Division of Canada's
Apocalypse Wrestling Federation has been recognized by
many throughout the course of 2001...and now well
into 2002.

But as Tracy, La Felina and Phoenix grapple for the
right to be called "the top female of AWF", we hear
that other women have set their sights on the
Apocalypse ring. Not surprising...

While Ron Hutchison--the man who trained Trish
Stratus on the basics of pro wrestling--is occupied
with keeping his three gorgeous ladies from destroying
each other, it may be a great opportunity for a new
lady to try and jump into the AWF spotlight.

The question is: Would a new girl come in on the "dark
side" and form an alliance with the Fabulous Firebird
Phoenix? That would spell trouble for fan favorites
Tracy and the formerly-masked La Felina.

On the other hand, a new girl coming into the
organization who competes more along the lines of the
AWF brunettes would be a disaster for Phoenix. The
rugged villainess has had her hands full with the
Apocalypse fan favorites as it is. But one against
three? Those are odds that even Phoenix couldn't
overcome.

Still, if we had to bet on it...we'd go with Phoenix
having a female accomplice somewhere down the road.

==> WOW Comeback?
==>

Is WOW dead?

Many had thought so as the organization wrapped-up its
initial run last year without securing a second season
of television broadcasts. But could Women Of Wrestling
be making a comeback?

Possibly. But if it happens, don't expect it to look
the same. There seem to be questions as to whether
WOW top man David McLane would be back.

Other rumors surrounding WOW have linked KISS
member Gene Simmons to the company. Purportedly buying
a controlling stake in the organization, people have
wondered if the wrestling would become more
"adult-oriented" in its style.

This is one that we'll just have to sit back and just
watch as it plays out...

==> GeeStar/Amber Holly Grudge Match Set?
==>

It's not news to G.L.O.R.Y. fans that GeeStar and
Amber Holly have been beating the hell out of each
other across the Carolinas as each girl tries to prove
that she is the top gun of Mid-Atlantic wrestling
rings. But we hear that this feud has gotten personal.

Very personal.

Apparently, the two ladies want to settle their
differences in private...away from the eyes of
ringside fans and the distractions of interfering
wrestling partners.

We've learned that arrangements are being worked out
for a private grudge match to take place between these
intense rivals. No ref...no fans...no outside
interference. Just GeeStar and Amber Holly alone in
the ring. With the hatred these two ladies feel
towards each other, who knows what kind of carnage may
ensue if such a battle is booked?

If it happens, it could be a career-ender for the
unfortunate loser. The question is...

Who would step out of that ring with the victory?

==> Has Ariel Had Enough?
==>

As Ariel's popularity has exploded within the New
England wrestling scene...and with SCCW fans in
particular...we hear that the G.L.O.R.Y. Girl has been
looking to expand her working area.

Usually content to work SCCW and YPW events as she
hones her ring skills, it seems as though Ariel has
been looking for opportunities elsewhere. Why?

Some rumors had been swirling that the talented and
energetic teen sensation was tiring of the constant
sniping aimed at her on the SCCW message board. She
wanted to distance herself from the negative
comments...or so the rumors would lead you to believe.

While the unfair and sometimes downright nasty
comments aimed at her certainly can't be pleasant to
read, we think that Ariel is made of tough stuff.
In our opinion, it would take more than the comments
of a few foul-tempered fans (or jealous workers?) to
chase this girl out of SCCW.

We think there's a simple reason why Ariel has been
looking elsewhere: she's probably been getting offers
elsewhere! It was only a matter of time before this
energetic wrestler's star would start to rise.

So while a miniscule number of detractors continue to
insult and make themselves look bad in the process,
Ariel just keeps working hard at gaining experience,
fans, skills and recognition.

It's as simple as that...
