1) G.L.O.R.Y. Yahoo! Group more than just a newsletter.
=======================================================

"When is the G.L.O.R.Y. Newsletter coming out? You said
it was going to come out more often. What happened?!"

That's the message that was posted on the G.L.O.R.Y.
site by Mark B. And he was right...I slugged-off on
keeping the newsletter up to date. Looks like we're
taking care of that now, though!

But remember: the G.L.O.R.Y Yahoo! Group that hosts
this newsletter is much more than just these mailings
that I send out way too infrequently. If you visit the
group, you'll find that the Photo section is crammed
with loads of pictures from G.L.O.R.Y. Photographers
Eric Shaffer, Danielle D'Adamo and more. And the vast
majority of those photos have NEVER been seen on the
regular G.L.O.R.Y. site. Make sure you stop in there
often to check things out.

At last check, you've all put the group in the Top 60
of Yahoo's! "Women Of Wrestling" category...which is
one of the highest rankings for a non-adult oriented
group. That's important for the simple fact that the
higher the group ranks there, the more fans we might
attract to the site who may not be very familiar with
the indy women's scene. While they're searching for
a group about the WWE women, for example, they may
come across the G.L.O.R.Y. link and learn about the
exciting stuff going on with the girls in the indies.
That can only help.

2) Search feature added to G.L.O.R.Y.
=====================================

We've added something new to G.L.O.R.Y.: a site search
feature which should make finding things a lot easier.

The feature is powered by Google and has all the power
of the Web's leading search engine behind it. When you
enter a search term in the search box located on the
G.L.O.R.Y. menu or on the new Search Page, Google will
show you all the pages of G.L.O.R.Y. that match what
you're looking for.

And the search is pretty darn accurate. The Google
bot spiders the G.L.O.R.Y. site on a nearly daily
basis. New and updated pages are usually indexed and
ready to be displayed within a matter of days after
they are created.

Want to see how many times Tiffani Monroe is mentioned
on G.L.O.R.Y.? Just type "tiffani monroe" into the
search box and click "Go". Want to know if we've ever
done a story on hardcore matches? Type in "hardcore"
and see what you get.

We hope you find this extra feature helpful when
you're visiting the site.

4) G.L.O.R.Y. roster hits 165!
==============================

It's been a long summer at the G.L.O.R.Y. Wrestling
site. A much needed site overhaul and change-over to
a new server took a lot longer than expected. A LOT
LONGER! And there is still some stuff that has to be
transferred (such as older news stories)...but the
payoff for everyone is starting to come in now.

Making changes to the site is much easier. If you visit
the Shows & Appearances section of the site, hopefully
you've noticed that show info is uploaded and edited
a lot faster than it used to be. Match Results are
also added in a more timely manner.

And the backlog of ladies who have patiently waited to
be added to the site has been whittled WAY down from
what it was. It was only a few weeks ago that we hit
the 150 mark on the G.L.O.R.Y. Girl roster. As of
yesterday, we added our 165th G.L.O.R.Y. Girl to the
site.

Some recent additions to the G.L.O.R.Y. site: Christie
Ricci, Desire, Molly McShane, Sensational Summer,
Kayla, Lady Amazon, Desiree, Ashleigh Vayda, Ipuna,
Dark Angel, Rio Storm, Daffney Unger, Miss DeVille,
Hurricane Havana and Lady Amazon.

Much needed profile edits have also been worked on:
Allison Danger, Melicious and Angel Williams, to name
a few. Look for more profile updates on a regular
basis.

Thanks for your patience over the last several months.
It was hard waiting for things at times, I know. And
there is still more to do, but the payoff is just
around the corner. Things should run a lot smoother
now...and it should make for a much more interesting
G.L.O.R.Y. site.

Will we make our goal of 203 G.L.O.R.Y. Girls in 2003?
Can't say for certain. But it's looking a lot better
now than it was back in early-June! :)

5) Picture Galleries to be added to profiles.
=============================================

Another new feature we've started to add into the
G.L.O.R.Y. site over the past couple of weeks has
been photo galleries for individual girls. We'll be
adding links to many G.L.O.R.Y. Girl profiles which
will lead to a page full of additional pictures of
that particular lady. And who can have a problem with
seeing more of the most beautiful, athletic and sexy
girls on the wrestling scene today?!

This is a project which will build slowly but surely as
we add additional photo galleries to the profiles of
many ladies. You can check out a few galleries that
have been added already (Alicia, Sonya Blackhawk and
Angel Williams, for example). Just look for the blue
and yellow link box below the pictures that line the
left-hand side of each lady's profile page.

6) G.L.O.R.Y. improves vote linking.
====================================

We know that a lot of fan sites like to use G.L.O.R.Y.
banners on their sites as links to our voting page to
encourage visitors to vote for their favorite lady as
G.L.O.R.Y. Girl Of The Month. We appreciate those
links--and all your links to G.L.O.R.Y., by the way!--
and we've come up with a new and easy way for you to
link directly to your favorite girl courtesy of an idea
sent to us by Kevin Fields of TheWrestler.net.

Kevin asked if we could have a set-up where a link
could lead directly to the section of the voting page
where a particular girl's voting button was located.

"With so many girls now involved in the voting, the
girls who are located further down the page take
longer for fans to find and vote for," Kevin said.
"Can you set up a system where the link can lead
directly to their picture and voting button?"

Great idea! One that The WebMaster had not thought of
until Kevin's suggestion. We implemented it on the
G.L.O.R.Y. site...but it means that the owners of
sites out their linking to the G.L.O.R.Y. voting page
have to make a slight change to their HTML linking
code. Good news is: it's not a complicated or major
change. Here's all you have to do...

Right now, if you are linked to the G.L.O.R.Y. Girl
Voting Page, your linking code address looks like this:

http://www.glorywrestling.com/Vote.asp

If you want to have that link go to a particular girl,
rather than the top of the voting page, your linking
code will have to look something like this:

http://www.glorywrestling.com/Vote.asp#AlexisLaree

This link code will lead a visitor to the section of
the voting page where a fan can vote for Alexis Laree.
For Little Jeanne, the code would be:

http://www.glorywrestling.com/Vote.asp#SweetDestiny

IMPORTANT: To find the exact name you want to link, you
must go to that girl's profile page. In the address bar
of your browser, look for how her name is spelled
immediately after the "/gg/" part of the page address.
THAT IS WHAT YOU MUST USE TO MAKE YOUR LINK WORK
CORRECTLY AND LEAD TO YOUR FAVORITE GIRL.

Simply append a "#" followed by the girl's name as
described above to the existing linking address you are
currently using.

Of course, you can still leave your link as it is and
just go directly to the top of the vote page. That will
still work. This is just another little feature that
you can utilize if it appeals to you.

Brett Schwan and his crew over at Wrestling Clothesline
announced their list of the Top 50 Indy Women Wrestlers
this past week. We're happy to report that a huge
percentage of their choices are also G.L.O.R.Y. Girls--
including their #1 pick.

And that is...?

Come on! You don't expect us to do ALL the work for
you, do ya?! Head over to Wrestling Clothesline and
check it out for yourself. Besides, you should take
a look at the WC site anyway. Lots of news and info on
the indy girls...delivered in a positive and
professional manner. One of our favorites!

8) Spotlight Site: Super J Headquarters.
================================================

It's not often that you see a site design which so
closely captures the feel of a wrestler's gimmick, but
Super J's site does just that!

Completely designed and built by a Super J fan named
Psicosis, the site captures the DC Comics feel of all
those great super heroes that we grew up with...as well
as containing Super J pictures and info. Check out
this really imaginative site!
