Hello,

I am taking that first hard plummitting step into the unknown and not
just the unknown... but into a group of unkown Equestrians. It's
scary, so please bare with me if I sound really really lame and
nervous.

My 3 year old Percheron, Dubh, and I would love to get involved. He
is a great mount, though just learning. I also have several Quarter
horses the my familly and I ride.

I've gone to SCA fighter practice off and on, liked what I've seen
but I do most of my activities with horses. I found out that SCA
does incourperate the equines into events, but no one in my Shire
(Smythkepe) is into it.

How can I get practice started in my area? I have several places
availbe that would be suited for practice. How do I get certified to
participate in events? What are the rules to the games/battles done
on horseback?

I've surfed through several of the Websites avaiable (the main SCA
Equestrian page doesn't work for me), and have not been able to find
this information... maybe I'm just looking over it. Also, I've read
through the Handbook.
