That's a big "maybe". Depends totally on how Jessica is doing (daughter that had the wreck). If she's able to go home, with her two babies, then YES !!!! I'm going crazy wanting to play ! :-)
Fingers crossed,
Deb

Third and final (for now) Greetings,I will be at the Three Kings Event in Ansteorra (Tyler, TX) Nov 2-4, 2007 – information follows. If you are an authorized advanced equestrian and wish to begin your Equestrian Marshal in Training, I will be glad to work with you that weekend. Also, if you want to get authorized rider or ground crew or up an authorization, I can do that too! J Let me know who's interested so I can see where your paper work stands. Also, since this event is pretty close to our border, I would like for a contengent of GA equestrians to attend to compete and/or ground crew. If we support them; they will support us!As of now, THL Celestine and I are attending with our fat pony brigade. J If you interested in bringing a horse(s), please let Fergus know ASAP. (Don't forget you will need a health certificate for interstate travel) Celestine is planning on offering a flat class type event – show control of your horse – more info to follow.Alicia--------------------- --------- --------- --- From Fergus, EqMIC for Three Kings:Greetings and felicitations oh my brethren and sisteren. Once again it is time for me to solicit the participation of the Ansteorran horse clans in that most wonderful event, THREE KINGS! This year, at my insistence, Her Grace, Duchess Julia has agreed to allow us to run EQ in an area adjacent to the battlefield. No more back-o-beyond, but right up front where everybody will see us, AND, much closer to the EQ camping area. The whole site, except for the general camping area, is horse friendly with plenty of space to ride. I will bring a stuffed goat for anyone who wishes to see what Buzkhashi is all about as well as EQ archery stuff for those who wish to practice. I will be demonstrating the famed Kasai arrow draw for those who are interested. The equestrian competition will be a combination of standard SCA games and trail course elements in a timed event with each rider running the course individually. The theme will be "Pillage the Village" in which each rider will fire two arrows at sentries, cross a drawbridge, smite eight peasants (heads), spear four plague rats and drop them in a well, pick up three animals (stuffed) and put them in a sack carried by the rider, abduct a stuffed 'wench' and carry her, and finally, carry a flag representing a flaming torch around the perimeter of the village thereby burning it down! Good fun for the evil barbarians, not so much for the hapless peasants! In keeping with the battle theme of the event, this competition will count as a war point rather than as an individual championship. Each rider will be required to declare for one of the competing kings. The best time will be used to determine the war point. The winning king will give largess to those who supported him, so choose wisely! Separate awards of great prestige will be given by Fergus Khan to the top scorer in each class. The competition will begin at 9:00(ish) am Saturday and will run until it is done. Riders will have ample opportunity to practice the course before riding for a score. It has also been approved that, should we so desire, the hour and a half interval between rapier and chivalric fighting is available for an EQ demo of some sort on the battlefield. I had thought that maybe a jousting bear pit such as we had at Castleton might be fun. If anyone is interested please let me know. We are expecting between four and five hundred people so this would be a good opportunity to show off what we do to the populace at large.Again this year it will be our pleasure to provide a free feast to all horse lords and ladies consisting of Khazar smoked beast brisket, Mongol chili and corn bread, and gallons of sour, hastily fermented steppes ale. We may even make some fermented mare's milk just for the occasion! All we ask is that you let us know how many you're bringing so we can plan accordingly. A handout will be issued to all riders at the gate detailing the EQ camping area, the course layout, and giving critical EQ information such as the phone number and location of local veterinarians.Equestrian campingThis year the RV pads at the back of the tent camping area will be designated for equestrian use. There are six concrete pads, water, electric, and picnic tables. However, you must prepay in order to reserve one of these sites. The price is $10 per RV pad which will be applied toward your site fee when you arrive. Prepayment must be received at least two weeks in advance. Any sites not pre-reserved will be assigned on a first come, first served basis to whoever wants them. Once all the RV sites are filled, additional equestrian campers will be directed to an area set aside for them in the adjacent tent camping area. As always, riders must show proof of negative coggins for all horses. If you want to reserve an RV site send $10 prepayment along with your name, phone number, and E-mail address to the Three Kings Beastocrat, Fergus Khan, at the address below. Make checks payable to SCA Shire of Rosenfeld.Scott Snowden2209 State Hwy 135EOverton TX, 75684
