I will be on site on Friday. Please let me know what
time you are
planning on arriving on site Friday late
afternoon/evening/night so
that I can be sure to request the correct leave time
from my job to
be on site for the first horse that may be arriving
Friday. I know
that Eowyth and Wulfric will be arriving late due to
their long drive
from south of Oklahoma City. (You guys be careful!) I
have not heard
about anyone else's ETA's. Please let me know as soon
as possible so
that I can be sure to be around and awake to check
Coggins and health
papers (if applicable) before you unload. Remember
the make copies
of your horse's traveling papers as they are required
to be turned in
with my event report!
Okay, here is the tentative/planned schedule for
activities for
Saturday.
9am (Due to the number of authorizations, this time
will not be
flexible so be sure to be tacked up and ready by this
time!) There
will be a brief class in the arena that everyone who
is planning on
authorizing will need to be present for. The class
will cover the
basic rules and saftey issues regarding equipment
handling and
rider/marshal relationship basic.
Authorizations will begin right away after the class.
(The class
will only take approx 10 minutes.)
Plans are to have the authorizations done as close to
noon as
possible to allow an hour for lunch.
As close to one as possible (will depend on how much
after 12 we
finish with the authorizations) we will then get to
practice the
various events. I ask that everyone not mounted or
actively riding
at any given time, be prepared to be grounds crew.
After the practice, all equestrians/groundscrew are
asked to join
together for an equestrian potluck. (Please let Doe
know what dishes
you may be able to bring via this list so that we all
don't bring
beans or potatoe salad or chips.

I've heard that there may also be an opportunity for
some trailriding
if people can work it in around the authorizations,
practice and
potluck.
In service,
