Well, being a youth combat marshal along with equestrian and archery, as well as the mundane youth activities I'm involved in, and having a few minors of my own, I have no problem with this possible ruling. I would imagine that it would make the parents of all the youths in the SCA feel quite a bit better and more confident knowing that the people in charge of their children have been checked out. My background has been checked numerous times (I run a youth summer camp among other things), and it's no big deal.
