Welcome to Girlfriends and Their Horses! GATH is a social group for women, with a love for horses, who live in Houston, Texas and the surrounding areas.

The intent of this site is to have a place to share ideas, events and, our everyday experiences with our horses. It is an effort and, an opportunity to create more quality time with our horses and our girlfriends who share that passion.Gath wants to put the emphasis on horses but, we are about girlfriends too. So feel free to enjoy eachother's company!

There are MANY horse related events and opportunities around our area all year long and, having members from all areas of Houston helps to really get the word out! This is a great way to become aware of and be able to join in events like shows, beach rides, trail rides, play~days, camps or just to find your way into a new friends territory for a ride!

Gath is limited to Women. As much as we like those men...not allowed here. You don't have to own a horse to be a member (we do a lot of camps, etc. where horses can be leased) but you do need to share the interest and love of horses or this group will not be of any interest to you. It is also a great place to be if you are just starting out with a new horse...lots of opinion's, experience, usefull information and, plenty of friendly help is just a girlfriend away!

We are an 'approved membership only' group and expect a resonable amount of participation from each member. You should not be a stranger to other members. We expect that everyone put on their "big~girl" clothes and act accordingly.
