Saturday – February 3, 2007 – a large group came to see Charlie try out his new racing chair.

 

A number of people sent in emails and cards to offer their congratulations to Charlie. If anymore are sent in, I will assure you that I will get them to Charlie.

 

Many photographs where taken, and I hope that those that did capture the moment will be able to spread the information and photos to those that where unable to make it this morning.

 

What a tremendous community we are a part of! Over 41 different people, organizations and companies contributed to this campaign. From the challenge sent out by Tri-Stable, to the thoroughness of Tom Phillips, Mike Daniels [Acute Rehab] to get on board immediately, Gerry Russo [Faith Assembly of God] helping with all the donations, running clubs in Douglas, Tifton and Albany, people in Lookout Mountain, Alpharetta, Waycross, Thomasville and certainly Valdosta, Hahira, Adel and the VJSL – people donated their time, expertise, energy, knowledge, encouragement and money to make this happen.

 

No obstacle has stopped Charlie – and no obstacle stopped a dedicated group of people who wanted to help.
