Upcoming events will be mentioned as well as results from the last couple of weeks. Remember South Georgia, we need to support our local area events IF we want them to continue and grow the sports/activities. Topics include: running, walking, cycling, triathlons, swimming, soccer and more…

 

Our special guest next Wednesday evening is Patrick Paige and David Bechler to discuss cycling 10K run, and Coach Roy Benson to offer more about heart rate training and running camps for high school age as well as adults.

 

We want to thank Jim Story and Roy Benson for his discussion on Rose City Run 10K and Heart Rate Training and running camps for high school athletes.

 

We have the results from those that raced in St. Anthony’s triathlon this last weekend as well as some info on Rose City 10K.

 

People interested in forming area [Stone Creek, Old Wood Valley, etc] walking groups – use the NEW YAHOO group below to communicate with others.

 

We want to remind people about:

• Mall Walkers, and what is available to people who need climate controlled surroundings
• Youth Soccer – Parks and Recreation, Boys and Girls Club and Academy teams in the area
• Adult Soccer – anyone interested?
• Youth Swimming Programs through out the South GA area
• Weekly runs from the store
• Weekly cycling rides in the area
• High School Track is in full swing - Region Championships have been decided - and State competition for Girls in Albany – State Competition for Boys in Jefferson.
• Safety Tips for runners/joggers/walkers
