Newly designed or created divisions: Truck Advanced;  Tuner;  Sport Compact;  Super Bike;  Motorcycles

·         Show-N-Shine Winners Honored at First Night Race

All of the 2009 Show-N-Shine winners from each night of the season will be honored with a special ceremony and car show during the speedway’s inaugural night race on Labor Day weekend.  Show off your championship classic to thousands of race fans at the Pep Boys Auto 500!!!

 

·         Friday Night Drags Test & Tune Night – Friday, May 15^th

Get ready for the season with an open test and tune night!

Tech your vehicle.  Register for the season.  Make some practice runs.

$10 per person.  Gates open at 6pm.  Practice runs start at 6:15pm.  Practice ends at 9:15pm.

·         Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine ‘First Race of the Year’ – Friday, May 22^nd

All divisions will be drag racing for beautiful trophies in the first race of the season!

Show cars will be awarded the first trophies of the year in the Show-N-Shine!

Plus, the speedway cruise for all Show-N-Shine participants!

And…RIDE ALONG NIGHT for Domestic, Sport Compact and Truck divisions!

Drag race with a friend or family member in the passenger seat!!!

Pits open at 6:00pm.  Tech and Registration open at 6:00pm.

Grandstand opens at 6:30pm.  Speedway Cruise at 8:15pm.  Drag racing at 9:09pm.

Spectators - $7;  Children six and under FREE

Drag Race entry - $20;  Ride Along Rider - $20;  Show-N-Shine entry - $20

·         Friday Night Drags & Show-N-Shine ‘Points Opener’ – Friday, June 5^th

The top drivers and riders in all divisions except Domestic, Sport Compact and Truck will race for points.

The top three in each points class will receive year end awards.

The top eight in each points class will lock into the Championship Race ladder for the end of the year.

Event winner will receive three points.  The runner-up will receive two points while all others competing receive a single point.

Point standing updates will be available at the speedway website as well as on Facebook and MySpace.

There will be a special event for the kids on Friday, June 5^th.  Bring the young ones out for the Candy & Coin Scramble!

Thousands of candy pieces and coins will be available for the kids to scramble for during pre-race activities.

Pits open at 6:00pm.  Tech and Registration open at 6:00pm.

Grandstand opens at 6:30pm.  Speedway Cruise at 8:15pm.
